Xitron Announces Enhanced Navigator Workflow Server
Core technology for Navigator GPS and Elite prepress workflow; Extends workflow to pressroom with KeySetter Connect
Ann Arbor, Michigan – May 24, 2010 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management and prepress workflow software, today announced a new version of the Navigator Workflow Server, (formerly RIP Manager), the core technology used by Navigator prepress and pressroom workflow solutions.
The Navigator Workflow Server technology is incorporated in several Xitron solutions, including:
- Navigator GPS workflow with job manager
- Navigator Elite workflow with job manager, PDF Tools, ink remapping and integrated imposition
- PRINTERnet web-to-print online job submission and proofing solution
- Navigator ROOM Proofing adding RIP once, output many to Navigator Proofing solutions
- KeySetter ink key setting software for the pressroom
“The Navigator Workflow Server began as the basis of Xitron’s prepress automation modules for the Navigator Harlequin RIPs,” stated Mark Eisenschenk, Xitron's President and CEO. “Today the Navigator Workflow Server has evolved to become the backbone for most development in the Navigator workflow family.”
The Navigator Workflow Server provides support for up to five Navigator or other Harlequin RIPs and ten simultaneous users or clients. In the pressroom, the Navigator Workflow Server can control one or more direct press console connections through Xitron’s KeySetter Connect digital ink key setting application.
The modular system allows for one Navigator Workflow Server to support a multitude of solutions in both prepress and the pressroom.
